Welcome to Development Eye Initiative (DEI),
You are the reason we exist. We created this platform because we believe that we all need a World where the legal and policy frameworks work for everybody. Our World is deeply shaped by interconnected processes that form challenges and the foundation to solving them comes from good and effective policy frameworks that are people centered. Here at DEI we seek to foster an environment that nurtures mutually beneficial relationships and stewardship of entrusted resources for more impactful policy outcomes. We do this by facilitating open and informed conversations on public policy, its efficacy and what is missing for public policy to make better meaning to the ordinary citizen. DEI also provides thought leadership on alternative policy engagement models for effective civic participation and engagement through digitalization.
So, whether you are looking for solutions to your community based challenge on climate change, local governance, gender dynamics, transparency, name it, you have found a home. We seek out for Global and national prevailing issues and offer in-depth analysis about them using a global lens. From that analysis, viable options are shared and we can all find avenues for engaging duty bearers and other key stakeholders on how to make legal and policy frameworks work for us.
Our feminist approach to development is clearly based on enhancing women’s competence to enable a World where both men and women are meaningful participants in policy making processes and development.
We believe that digitalization is the best means to interlink citizens and policy makers and thus have enhanced this through using social media to engage citizens and share feedback with duty bearers.
