Finance and Administration Manager

A Financial Management Specialist with a wealth of experience and training in accounting, including professional certification. Osaba holds a Masters Degree in Financial Management (MFM) from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh – India and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-FM2919). He has over 15 years of experience in both the private and not-for-profit sectors, managing multi-donor budgets for projects amounting to an estimated USD 10 million annually. Familiar with donor funding guidelines from several organizations such as USAID, UNDP, FORD FOUNDATION, WELLSPRING, DANIDA, DGF, ICNL, and WILDE GAZEN. His major roles have included financial systems strengthening, budgeting and financial management, auditing, risk analysis, treasury management, donor grants/contracts management, and donor relationship management. He has also been involved in staff recruitment, orientation, and capacity building, providing statutory and legal advisory services, developing and enforcing policies, overseeing procurement processes, strengthening internal controls, and risk mitigation. In his free time, Osaba likes to attend to his farm and take care of his family.

Jackline Ayesiza

Chief Communications Officer

A communications expert with a stellar reputation for driving successful projects, demonstrating digital marketing expertise, and executing strategic communication strategies across 8 dynamic countries, and a true powerhouse in her field. Jackline holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management at Uganda Management Institute (UMI).

While serving as a Regional Secretary of MFI Solutions, she led with seamless initiatives in both the government and private sectors, serving as the driving force behind their success. Previously, as a digital marketing manager at YOLO Mobile Company Limited, Jackline orchestrated ground-breaking campaigns that elevated brand presence and effectively navigated targeted traffic. Her extensive experience also includes roles as a customer service representative at MultiChoice Uganda Ltd. and as a PR & communications coordinator at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. Jackline’s commitment to excellence and innovative communication strategies have established her as a top leader in the industry, sought after for her expertise and insights. In her free time, she enjoys travelling to experience different cultures, trying new foods, and supporting causes that empower women. She’s passionate about mentoring others, often speaking at events to inspire aspiring communication professionals.

Badru Walusansa

Policy Analyst

An experienced Policy Analyst and Project Management Specialist with eight (8) years’ experience in the NGO sector in Uganda. He’s a holder of Bachelors degree of Development Studies (First Class Honors) from Makerere University majoring in Human Rights, Gender, Policy and Development. He’s a GROW Leadership Fellow at Civsource Africa and a  Commonwealth Youth Correspondent for Uganda.  He posseses valuable experience in designing and leading implementation of various donor projects including Democratic Governance Facility (DGF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), International Centre for Not for Profit Law (ICNL), International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Austrian Development Agency (ADA), European Union (EU), United Nations Organization on Drug and Crime (UNODC), Internews, Catholic Organization for Relief and Development (CORDAID), HiiL, DANIDA, UN Women, GIZ, OXFAM and USAID. He enjoys mentoring young people as a certified mentor at Reignite Africa and is also a regular contributor in the local dailies with over 30 published articles. In his free time, he enjoys reading and deepening his research.

Lisa Atukunda Nyakato

Programme Associate

Lisa is a dedicated lawyer and entrepreneur with a strong commitment in advocacy and policy analysis. Lisa works with a strong commitment towards refugees particularly women and children rights. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Law from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and a few other certificates. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Business Law from Uganda Christian University.

Her career spans legal practice, academia, consultancy, and advocacy, where she has exceled in project management, policy development, and writing compelling narratives. Lisa is a persistent and resourceful problem solver, equipped with excellent research and communication skills. She combines her academic pursuits with practical expertise in crafting effective policies and organizing impactful policy dialogues. Beyond her professional achievements, Lisa enjoys baking, exploring diverse cuisines, and indulging in movies and documentaries. Her multifaceted skills and unwavering dedication make her an asset in advancing legal and advocacy efforts.
