Empowering Young Women in Public Policy – Unleashing Sister Strength

A World where women are at the fore front of influencing public policy and leadership builds an inclusive and progressive society. At Usisi Amandla, we strive to grow and nurture young women to be leaders in the public policy space.

From a Zulu word; Usisi Amandla means Sister Strength.

Our Programs

By joining the Usisi Amandla Fellowship, young women will be able to interact with senior public policy analysts, political leaders, government technocrats, regional and global influencers. They will be trained and mentored in public policy to enhance your capacity to influence and change policy. There will opportunities for peer learning, exposure and further growth like exchange programmes, fellowships and programmes for further studies.

This opportunity is open to young females below 35 years; early career to mid-level managers in government and civil society or entrepreneurs involved public policy engagements. Each cohort lasts 1 year.

This is an absolutely free opportunity that requires participants to commit time for the monthly gatherings/ Madiba Talks and at least four weeks annually spread out during the year for further training in public policy analysis. Participants can join by responding to an annual call and registering.  Keep looking out here for the next call to participate.
