International Consultant, Political Economy and Public Policy Analysis

Dr. Sabastian RWENGABO is Political Scientist and Consultant in Fragility and Resilience Assessments (FRAs), Regionalism, Political Economy Analyses (PEAs), and Governance. He holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he was Research Scholar, President’s Graduate Fellow, & Graduate Teacher; MA and BA (First Class) from Makerere University; is a member and twice Laureate of the Governance Institute of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), based in Dakar, Senegal; and completed the Oakseed Executive Leadership Course (OELC) and History Makers’ Training (HMT) from the Institute for National Transformation (INT). He has several other advanced trainings. Based at Centre for Basic Research (CBR), Kampala, Dr. Rwengabo has authored the book titled Security Cooperation in the East African Community (Trenton, New Jersey: Africa World Press, 2018); co-edited the book titled Peace, Democracy and Development in Africa (London: Adonis & Abbey, 2020); and many other peer-reviewed Publications. In addition to mentoring doctoral researchers in Africa, he currently provides consultancy services for local, regional ang international institutions.
